Supportive Oncology Research Project Overview
Anthroposophic physicians and University of Michigan researchers will be researching the impact of supportive packages of care for cancer patients. The program is for newly diagnosed Esophageal Cancer patients who plan to undergo standard treatment at the University of Michigan (more hospital systems may be added in the future).
Our initial goal is to create a pilot project protocol for research using a defined supportive package of care as an intervention and to assess the effects on cytokines and other relevant biological markers.
In order to move forward with this project, we are in need of private funding to cover a portion of the costs.
